Maurizio Basso (Past Speaker)

Maurizio is an experienced compliance Director with a long cross boarder background in the insurance market. In 2013 he was given the task to set up the global compliance function of the Generali Group. Today the global function is in place for all the about 130 regulated companies of the Group operating in more than 30 countries and the compliance activities are expanding towards the non-regulated companies.  In the past years the operating model of the function was optimized to get the most from the interactions with the other control functions. Today’s challenge is to leverage on new technologies and data to embed into the operations evidences of control’s outcomes.
